Back to the Project list
The Lego H.O.T. Blaster Bike is a toy that features a spring actuated motor that allows the toy to be propelled with a simple pull back motion. This type of motor is used in children's toy's, mostly automobile's and train sets

The Blaster Bike has a front end that pivots around a point built out from the motor block that makes up a rudimentary suspension system with two flexible shafts. The Motor has yet to be disassembled, but should contain a drive belt system from the wheels to a shaft about which a spring is coiled to create the potential energy which drives the Blaster Bike forward when released.

The Bike is made up of 80 pieces (approximately 25 unique) plus the Motor Block. The three major sub-assembles are the Motor Block, rear assembly built around the Motor Block and the front end assembly. I intend to disassemble the Motor Block and concentrate on this as it will contain the more intricate moving parts assembly.

This bike will be a challenging project with over 30 unique pieces, in three major sub-assemblies. Lego and the Lego logo are trademarks of The Lego Group
