Mini Radio Controlled Car

I think I will always have a soft spot for the Tomy Bit Char-G remote control car when it was first released out to the market place. There is something about the MicroSizers cars that are just fun. The compact size (about 2") allows you to set up races in a very small area such as your kitchen floor. Its simplicity is also part of its charm. The car and controller can fit in the palm of your hand and with just a couple AA batteries and a smooth surface, you are ready to go.

Although the Tomy Bit CharG cars do not have proportional steering or speed, I have always been happy with how the Bit Char-G cars handle. I wish the Bit Char-G cars would drive for longer than 4 minutes, but that is still enough time for a good race. The standard controllers are not as sophisticated as the ones for the DigiQ or Epoch Indoor Racer, but they are adequate. The special "booster" controllers that can be purchased separately are not that much more sophisticated and the range is even worse than the regular controller is. However, they do have a "booster" button that allows you to drive at a faster speed along with a switch that allows you to drive any of the four available frequencies from the same controller. Anyone that has fun with a Hobbico MicroSizer, will want to look into the faster motors that can be purchased (available motors: 1.0, 2.0, 2.2, 2.6, 3.0 and 3.8).

Specifications
· Roughly 1/60 in scale
· Full function remote control
· Detailed body
· Superior speed
· Micro B 2.6 Motor
· Independent front suspension
· Adjustable steering trim
· Gear Ratio of 9.86:1 for top performance
· Superior run time

Below are some specifications regarding our Mini RC cars.
1. The Mini RC Car works at various different frequencies:
27 MHz, 35 MHz, 40 MHz, 45 MHz, 49 MHz.
2. Rechargeable Ni/MHz cell in the car itself. It can be fully charged in 45 seconds and can run for around 3-5 minutes.
3. The car is charged from the internal 2PCS AA Batteries in the remote control (batteries not included)
4. Has a fully directional remote control--forward/backward/left/right
5. Remote distance can reach around 15 meters. (~4o feet)
6. Cool transparent plastic dome packaging - looks like a collectable item.

There will be various parts moving together, such as the wheel which is connected to the shaft and it is rotated by the servo. Gears are turning my motor.

In this model, the two front wheels are rotateable with a degree of freedom of 15 degrees. This will be controlled by the servo in the front. The motor will turn the back gear which then rotates the shaft for a rear wheel drive.

There are 48 parts in total, and 3 subassemblies, they are the chassis subassembly, the rear subassembly, and the wheels.
