For my project I selected to design and animate a toy backhoe.
The backhoe is made up of several parts, some complicated and some simple.
The parts:
- Body
- Front and rear wheel assemblies (rims and tires)
- Front lifting arms including the hydraulic pistons and their mounts.
- The front bucket (the larger of the two)
- Hydraulic pads (behind the operators compartment)
- Lower portion of the rear arm (connected on a swivel type base to the rear of the body)
- Upper portion of the arm (connected to lower portion by a pin like joint and also a large hydraulic piston)
- The rear bucket (both a pin connection and a hydraulic piston connect the rear bucket and upper portion of the arm).
