BRAMPTON FIRE STATION 204

Firefighters risks their life to save ours. They suffer greater mental stress as a result of their work. The main objective is to come up with different ways of reducing toxicity and to make the fire station a place where firefighters feel at home. To do so, it is important to incorporate a decontamination bay, separate from the apparatus bay. It is designed for the decontamination of the trucks and for the firefighters to strip their gear and shower before even entering the rest of the station. New hallways are created to separate public and private spaces. The new design is complete with a sunroom, living room and an enlarged outdoor patio; this gives it the perfect touch of home. The new addition also focuses on creating spaces with better exposure to sunlight and green features which are beneficial for both mental and physical wellbeing.

VISUALIZATION
THE HIVE

Hive is a modern refuge for a young couple, fabricating a microhome with a measure of decent space inside a little surface, blending recreation, solace, and space productivity. Every detail counts in designing such an accommodation that is not only space efficient, but also comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Hive has been designed in the form of a honeycomb structure, and draws inspiration from beehives in which domesticated bee species live and thrive. The curtain wall system creates a vertical focus from the small square footage and incorporates a lot of natural light into the house. The project refers to a residential planning and development scheme that establishes a native sustainable architecture in terms of design and building materials while creating all the conditions for the future family to utilize the structured honeycomb, microhome.
