Building Renovations

Project Name: The Dickson Residence

Team Designers: Malachi Waskalik & Thomas Petronis

Project Intent: Students were asked to get in contact with a set of clients and interview them for renovation ideas of their existing home. With the use of as-built drawings we had to design a renovation according to the clients wishes. In this case the clients wanted a secondary suite in the basement, and a pool in the backyard.

Architectural Studio 4

Project Name: Churchill Meadows Community Centre

Project Designers: Malachi Waskalik, Erin Cassel & Lina Sanan

Project Intent: The intent of this project was to collaborate as a team and come up with a solution to design an interactive and sustainable community centre for Churchill Meadows. Our idea was to enhance the shape of an open book with curved inward roof design allowing for the collection of greywater. What better brings a community together than the idea of sharing knowledge, learning experiences, and adventure.
