Square One Transit Hub Proposal F2017

The proposed "Nomad" design was created for the Square One downtown core's eventual renovation & addition. Its appearance is based off of aboriginal architecture such as the long house, which represents the community and the Tipi, which represents the nomadic nature of the plains tribes as well as the concept of transit itself. Its design features sustainable technology through the use of a photovoltaic roof and canopy design for energy generation, linoleum flooring to withstand the daily traffic load, metal panels with UV-protected coating that reduces annual A/C costs.

Mississauga Meadowvale Theatre W2018

The Meadowvale Theatre in Mississauga is my last studio project in W2018. Our task was to renovation the existing Meadowvale Theatre, finding solutions for issues such as giving the building its own identity to differentiate it from the attached highschool and green building. To give it its own identity and to make it sustainable and green, I've chosen to use majority of the same materials as "The Nomad" transit hub proposal, along with including several new materials from Material Connexion. These materials include Perfor-Art® - Ishikawa Wire Netting Co., Ltd. MC 6991-01 to reduce noise in the 2nd floor, 3rd floor and Fly tower while also allowing punched holes to form theatre imagery, VintageWood - Nichiha Fiber Cement MC 7286-03 on the 3rd floor to match the already existing wood-look metal panels and the added benefits of cement and RiverGlassworks, Inc. MC7714-01 for the dressing room windows to provide privacy, while also retaining the ability for natural light and matching aethestics of the southern end which represents the flow of a river.

Churchill Meadows Community Centre W2017

Churchill Meadows Community Centre was the major project for Studio 4 of W2017. It was situated in the Churchill Meadows Community on Ninth Line, Mississauga, ON, where at that time there was no existing community centre. It was designed to satisfy all the needs of the community such as housing a local library, soccer/sports field, walking route, parks, kids zone and other amenities.
