TASK 02 - Ruth Residence - Final Design Presentation Drawings

• xxxxxxxx01.dwg (your drawing of the Ruth floorplans),
• The East, North, South, West and Northeast elevations
• The Front and Rear perspective views

Finally, attach the painted image of the building.

Note: The elevations, perspective views and the image will be supplied by the course Instructor.

In modelspace, arrange the plans and elevation views in a pinwheel fashion (see exercise 2).

Step 2: Using projection techniques you have learned, complete the missing windows on the Northeast and South Elevations.

Step 3: Using quality design presentation techniques, enhance the plans and elevations:

• Hatch tiled areas: Kitchen, Bathrooms, etc
• Hatch the outdoor veranda.
• Add full furniture and fixture layouts to the plans
• Include dimensions as directed by Instructor.
• Label the various spaces in the plans (A numbered legend may be used).

Step 4: Assemble the Design Drawing Sheet

• be 24" x 48" or 32" x 44", landscape or portrait.
• be organized in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement as discussed in class.
• include:
  • First Floor Plan at 1/4' = 1'-0" or 1/8" = 1'-0"
  • Second Floor Plan at 1/4' = 1'-0" or 1/8" = 1'-0"
  • All elevations at 1/8" = 1'-0" (make adjustments to detail if required)
  • Painted image of the building.
  • Front or rear perspective views (scale appropriately).
  • Title for all drawings and graphic scales
  • Title for the drawing integrated into the overall design of the sheet. The title should include:
    •  "Ruth Residence"
    •  Your name
    •  "Sheridan College - Architectural Technology"
    •  June 2020
• dimensions as directed by the Instructor.
• DO NOT use a design or working titleblock: Presentation drawings have their own simple titleblock.

Create multiple paperspace layouts, with different arrangements.

Second Class Week 5:

Submit a single drawing file named:

xxxxxxxx02.dwg

where xxxxxxxx is your login account name.

Only the contents of this drawing file will be graded.

Also submit a full size PDF plot (to scale) of the best layout of the design drawing.

Notes:

• A deduction of 30% will be assessed If the plot is not submitted with the CAD drawing file.
• Make sure your name is clearly visible on the sheet.
