TASK 03 - Photoshop Assignment

Using an approved elevation from your Architectural Studio project, create an enhanced elevation image by painting and editing the elevation in Adobe Photoshop.

Notes:

  1. The elevation to be drawn is the street elevation of your Studio 2 project. If the student wishes to paint another elevation, it must be approved by the CADD12384 course Instructor in Week 6.

  2. Create an 800 x 600 RGB Colour Photoshop image of the elevation. The Background of the image is to be transparent.

  3. Import the elevation from AutoCAD. All lines should be black. Remove other pixels to expose the background.

  4. Use the following minimum layers in Photoshop:

Sky   Use appropriate colours and filter to create clouds, or "rubber stamp" the clouds from another image.

Ground   Use appropriate colours and filter to create a textured ground plane.

Outline   Black outlines of the elevation only.

Walls   Colouring of the walls of the elevation. Additional layers may be added, and textures may be used.

      Windows   Colouring of the windows

Trees   Vegetation: cut and paste from other image files and filter to reduce realism, or use the Photoshop tree filter..
Provide at least 1 tree and 1 shrub.
Additional layers and vegetation may be added.

  5. Do NOT collapse or flatten the layers in the photoshop document file.
