Notes and titles are an important part of architectural drawings. Lettering should complement a drawing - not distract or overpower. This exercise will practise basic lettering shapes and related conventions.
These tips will help to improve your printing:
The following image contains general notes from an architectural drawings. Draw these notes in a 4-1/2" (120 mm) wide column on an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet, using quality freehand architectural lettering.
The drawing will be collected at the end of the class.
This exercise is primarily to PRACTISE drawing neat, consistent and straight line work. It will be evaluated for completeness only (i.e. Complete or Not Complete). However, your work should show some improvement from the first sketch to the last sketch.
