Progress
through our program and eligibility for the diploma is dependent upon
successful completion of ALL required program courses (see program
map).
Before
a student can be enrolled in a specific course they must complete all
required prerequisites or co-requisite courses.
If there
are no prerequisites, and the student is enrolled in that year of the
program, they may be eligible to take the course depending upon approval
of the program Co-ordinator.
If a
student fails one course they may continue on in the program, but not
in courses that have the failed course as a pre or co-requisite, provided that their overall grade point average is 2.00 or above.

NOTES:
It is possible
to pass all your courses with a grade of 54% achieving a GPA of
1.00 and be withdrawn from the program even though you have "PASSED"
all courses.
An incomplete grade
converts automatically to a "U" at the end of the next term.
It is the student's responsibility to follow up with the professors
involved.
A "US"
indicates the granting of supplementary privileges by the professor.
Upon successful completion of supplementary conditions the grade may
be changed to a "D" ( grade point 1.0) Supplementary privileges
must be met before the end of the first month in the semester that follows
immediately after or the grade will automatically convert to a "U".
It is the student's responsibility to follow up with the professor involved
and initiate the resolution of supplementary conditions.
Credit
Hours
They
are assigned units that normally represents one hour of instruction per
week per term
Therefore
a normal 3 credit course would have 3 hours of instruction per week over
a 14 week term for a total of 42 hours.
Grade
Point Average (GPA)
Calculated
per term and over your entire academic history. All courses are recorded
on the transcript but if a course is repeated then the highest grade
obtained will be included in the GPA.
GPA
= weighted grade value / total credits
Weighted
grade value = grade points awarded x number of credits awarded
