PCL Constructors Canada – September 2012 – January 2013
- Co-op work placement holding the position of an Estimator at the PCL Mississauga district office. Job duties included performing quantity takeoffs, assisted in assembling RFP’s (Request For Proposals).
PCL Constructors Canada – January 2012 – May 2012
- Co-op work placement holding the position of field engineer at MaRS Phase 2 site. Job duties included; performing concrete takeoffs, performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating sub-trade work, verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings, setting up/maintaining records, surveying to complete as-built drawings of concrete floor slabs.
AJW Engineering – May 2011 – September 2011
- Co-op work placement at structural engineering firm. Responsible to plan, coordinate, design and draft on AutoCAD a variety of small to large sized projects. The work was primarily industrial and construction, specializing in scaffolding, swing stage or temporary safety tieback systems, shoring/re-shoring, roof anchor design, event stage or event rigplot, bridge/MTO projects, formwork, and design build projects.
B&R Cabinets - August 2008 – May 2011
- Co-founder of custom kitchen cabinet company. Responsible for the design and installation of cabinets, customer relations, marketing/advertising and accounting.
Habitat for Humanity (volunteer) - Summer 2007
- Assisted in the construction of residential homes during a construction pre-apprenticeship program with local 183.
