Queens Garden – Mixed use 6 storey Building

The project involved designing a multi-use building on Queens Street West in Toronto. This was a group project and our design intend was to create a building with a classical look adding some Georgian mix architecture with modern touches. Two basic requirements for this project were to keep a large existing tree present in the property and ensure that the new addition was unique but with a sense of belonging with the surrounding existing properties. Butterfly Pavilion
Emerging Building Technologies class challenged us with the design of a sustainable pavilion. The main task was to consider the type of Flora we will introduce on the site to support different Fauna that was already present or we were aiming to attract. The pavilion was also designed to help with water collection used for site irrigation.

Fire Station Renovation

For this studio project, we were asked to do a renovation in an existing fire station in Brampton, Ontario. The main objective was to design a layout that would improve the safety and functionality of the existing station.
For the design, all sleeping quarters were updated, decontamination spaces were added and existing ones were updated and common rooms were enlarged and modernized to provide more free space and leisure activities to the firefighters
