About Me

Hello! My name is Chenniel Goymer and I am a young student finishing up my studies in architecture. I like to think of myself as a creative and athletic person. I love dancing, visual and music. I myself play the clarinet, violin and piano, but my favourite instrument is the bass guitar. I am also fluent in French and English, and currently trying to learn Spanish. I think I was drawn to the architecture field because I love to create. There are so may things that we as humans can create, but very few of them affect as many people as architecture does. I specifically think that it is important that we pay more attention to how the architecture we create affects the nature around us. I personally don't want to live in a world where any animals or ecosystems go extinct in my lifetime because of human actions, so I try to make it my goal to live as sustainably as possibly.

Some of my other interests are Ultimate Frisbee, travelling, baking and cooking. I really enjoy baking and cooking for my family. I have started a tradition in my household where we do Taco Tuesday regularly it is one of the things I look forward to the most! I think with a little practice and determination, everyone can be a great cook and baker.

Whatever work I end up doing in the field of architecture, I hope that I can help the industry to become one of the best examples of how we as humans can learn to live sustainably and coexist with nature.

"Sustainability is no longer about doing less harm. It's about doing more good."
