This project was completed for the semester 6 course 'Advanced Residential Design' offered at Sheridan College. The main focus was to design
a passive house that takes full advantage of the suns direct solar raditation which could then be used for heat distribution during the heating season (winter). On the other hand, it had to be designed in such a way so that the suns radiation would be limited as much as possible during the cooling season (summer) to avoid overheating. This was achieved by incorporating custom window shading/overhangs and other such methods like log wall finishing for thermal massing. This project was completed for the semester 6 course 'Architectural Visualization' offered at Sheridan College. The main focus of this course was to choose a design competition in which we could use to develop our visualization/presentation skills of design proposals using softwares such as 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. The competition that my group and I chose was the annual InHAUS Modular Home competition and Shuffle House was the end result of our efforts. This project was completed for the semester 6 course 'Architectural Studio 6"' offered at Sheridan College. The goal was to design a renovation proposal within the interior of an existing brickworks building located at 545 King St West in Toronto. The program requirements were to transform this building into a hotel and spa that would include a public swimming pool, steam and sauna room, massage rooms, a restaurant/bar and private suites for those wishing to stay overnight.
