FIRE STATION 87

The Fire Station 87 was a collaborative project a Group D & F2 occupancy. The building contains low-hazard components and personal services for employees. In addition, the building was sorted out to suite living quarters for workers. They are invited to sleep in the dormitory or use the lounge and kitchen at any means. To increase lot usage, the outdoor ammenities are interactive for the public. A gazebo, basketball court, paved pathway with green spaces, and patio area encourages citzens to utilize the facility.

SPECIFICATIONS

The Specifications project dealt with details of the Fire Station 87. Divisions 00 to 14 & Division 31 to 33 were covered in the 238 page booket. These divisions identified specific materials and components thorough the building which include

  • Wood, Plastic, and Composites
  • Thermal and Moisture Protection... etc.

This project helps practice our reserach studies to uniquley identify a building.

QUEEN'S SWIVLE

The Queen's Swivle is a condo building at the corner of Queen Street West and Fenning in Toronto. It is a multipurpose building with 3 retail units on the ground floor and 13 residential units on the remaining top floors. The condo pays respects to the neighborhood facade by including detailed cornices, yet still embodying a modern look through the seamless curves.

STANLEY RESIDENCE

Stanley Residence is a two storey residential home with 2 bedrooms and 1 master bedroom. This residence is located in Mississauga. The house has a two door garage, an open to above entryway, open concept kitchen/living room.

ORILLIA STUDIO

Orillia Studio is a multipurpose building that sustains studio rooms, gallery rooms to display work, and reidential units. This project was a business building and then transformed into a residential apartment and studio nooks. The purpose of the piano shape form is to entice artists to facilitate the space.
