My name is Pragya Pradhan. I am currently in my 3rd and final year of the Architectural Technology Co-op Program at Sheridan College. My interest in architecture started in highschool where I took a 4 year course of design technology. The course was divided into half manufacturing and half architecture. The course focused on residental building and we created floorplans and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit. I was also able to take an art course specifically for architecture, where I learned to hand draw and design floorplans, interior spaces and the exterior of a building. After graduating from highschool, I knew I wanted to follow my interest in architecture and therefore joined the architectural technology co-op program at Sheridan. Through my studies at sheridan I have been able to broden my understanding of the industry and gain more knowledge about not only the design process, but also detailing, project management, CAD programs, and the OBC. I have also had the oppurtunity to work in the field through my three work terms. Where I learned first hand about working in the construction industry. I am looking to persue my interest in architecture and start a career in the construction industry.
