"Pixel" is a live-work loft designed for artists in Queen Street, Toronto. The proposed building is based on the concept of "pixels", where each piece is unique and has a small part of picture on it, when complete, it creates a complete mosaic. The Pixel enables a community spirit for the artists that can come together in the place to create their exclusive art. It provides a creative counterpart to the surrounding traditional architectural styled buildings while preserving the artistic essence of the Queen Street. Group Member: Mehak
Fire Station 204 is located in Queen Street, Brampton. My idea for the renovation of this fire-station is to provide a “shield” to the firefighters which can safeguard them with a good spatial separation and make them feel comfortable by giving them the required privacy and shelter, without having to compromise their well-being.
Hive is a modern refuge for a young couple, fabricating a microhome with a measure of decent space inside a 25 sq.m surface, blending recreation, solace, and space productivity. Every detail counts in designing such an accommodation that is not only space efficient, but also comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Hive has been designed in the form of a honeycomb structure, and draws inspiration from beehives in which domesticated bee species live and thrive. Group Member: Mehak
